Why glamping is actually a great option these days

Have you ever wanted to go camping, but still wanted to have a hot shower? Or wanted to be able to sleep on a bed? Well now you can, thanks to glamping! Now you may be asking, what is glamping? Glamping is camping with luxury, being able to be with nature, but still be comfortable. You could be on the plains of Africa, waking up in bed and seeing elephants with the rising sun. Fall asleep to the sound of drizzling rain in the rainforest. Glamping lets you be close to nature without having to give up the comforts of sleeping — or not having your morning coffee.

It’s family friendly

Being able to bring the whole family camping is something many family members dream of. But it is always hard to bring along a one to two year old with traditional camping. With glamping, you would be able to bring along the little one, without worrying about them not being able to sleep on the hard ground or getting out of the tent in the middle of the night. Glamping also helps with grandma and grandpa, too. While grandparents would definitely like to tag along, they are sadly too delicate for sleeping on the ground (and many don’t have the money for a pull behind trailer). Now, with glamping, they will be able to join in the fun… after, of course, a night of great sleep on a comfy bed.

Types of glamping

How many ways can you glamp? Well, if we had to be specific, there’s about twenty-three different ways. There is staying in an airstreams and trailers, barn and farmhouses, cabins, cubes and pods, domes, huts and cottages, lodges, luxury lodges, tents, tipis, tours and excursions, treehouse, unique and unusual, villas, wagons and shepherds huts, and yurts. Whew, did we get them all? Some of these options can come with kitchens, but some won’t. Thankfully, a town or village isn’t too far away, with delicious food waiting to be enjoyed. Not many can say they stayed in a treehouse in the rainforest, or slept under the stars in a dome. Thankfully, with all of these exciting choices, every adventure will be different and unique.

Better for your health

Most people want to be able to shower when they go camping for comfort, but what about the people who need a shower for health reasons? Many people struggle with skin conditions and need to shower regularly. Now, glamping doesn’t just work for skin conditions, either. If you have an oxygen tank, or any mobility, or physical problems, glamping can help make camping more comforting. You will be able to keep your medicine and medical equipment safe, dry and have easy access to it (when needed). People who have health conditions are now able to go exploring the world, without having to be too worried about their health. Finally they can go sleep in the rainforest like they have always dreamt about.

Fun for locals

When you go looking up glamping online, you may have noticed that some of them don’t come with kitchens. So what should do you do for food? Eating microwave dinners the whole trip isn’t exactly appealing to many. Some of the glamping spots are close to a village or town where you can go and eat. Being close to a village gives you the chance to see and try new cuisine. Maybe you found a beautiful dress shop, or a corner bakery that makes delicious bread. You also get a chance to meet with the locals. This is a great opportunity to find out more about where you are staying, and possibly get information on some beautiful sight seeing that weren’t known before. Being able to try different food and seeing a different culture can definitely add to your glamping experience!
