The best locations for ski lovers

Not everyone looks for the same thing when they go skiing. Some people are all about the powder snow, while others prioritize the après ski or family friendliness. If you love everything there is about skiing, then you have to check out these amazing locations. We’ve got the best of each skiing aspect, parties, thrills, and somewhere a little more peaceful.

Revelstoke, Canada

If you’re into skiing for the thrilling slopes and couldn’t care less about après ski, the Revelstoke in Canada is definitely the place for you. Most people agree after spending time on the mountainous and forested slopes that the skiing here is first class.

There are over 1.2 million acres of slopes, so there’s little chance you’ll get bored. The actual base is quite small and après ski is not the priority here, so Revelstoke isn’t necessarily the best place for a party.

The best locations for ski lovers

St. Anton, Austria

If Revelstoke is all about skiing, St. Anton in Austria is where the party’s at. The slopes are great too, but the parties are always turned up a notch each and every night during the season. You will do a lot of drinking in St. Anton and morning skiing is typically out of the question, meaning it’ll be more like the early afternoon before you leave your chalet. The atmosphere is always great, and there’s a good chance you’ll be making friends for life during your stay.

Meribel, France

Skiing in France is pretty much amazing no matter where you go, but Meribel seems to offer plenty for everyone. There are slopes to test even the most experienced skiers, but also family-friendly slopes and establishments. There is also a part vibe here in the evenings if you want to find it, so no matter what you love about skiing, you are likely to find it at Meribel.

Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy

If you want to still feel as though you are actually relaxing when you go on a skiing trip, then Cortina d’Ampezzo is a great choice for you. The small town at the bottom of the slopes offers excellent Italian dining that is almost impossible to refuse.

It’s pretty to look at too, and you will find yourself getting distracted by the horizon time and time again as you make your way down the slopes. Serious skiers won’t be out of place here either, as it’s not all about beginners and fine dining. Some tough slopes are present a challenge to almost anyone.

The best locations for ski lovers

Riksgransen, Sweden

The ski season can sometimes feel as though it’s a little short, but thanks to Riksgransen in Sweden the party stays alive that little bit longer. Due to its northern location the winters here are harsh, and the slopes don’t even open until around February because it can be so dangerous. That means the snow remains great for skiing all the way until June so while most people have tucked their skiing gear away, you can still be hitting the slopes in Sweden.

Skiing represents something a little different to some people and it’s not all about just being on the snow for everyone. No matter what you love most about skiing we think these resorts are some of the best in the world, and they have to make it onto your bucket list.
